As the Head of Legal at Appear, I lead the legal function of a fast-growing and innovative technology company that enables production companies, telcos, and broadcasters to create immersive live experiences for their viewers. With over 15 years of experience as a commercial in-house lawyer and a former attorney-at-law, I have a deep understanding of the IT and IP law landscape and how to navigate the complex regulatory and contractual challenges in the media industry. My core competencies include general commercial law, marketing law, competition law, employment law, compliance, data privacy, contract drafting and negotiation, and social media governance. I always have my focus on the business, making sure that the legal department is not a showstopper, but a value-adding partner that supports the company's vision and strategy. I'm passionate about leadership and community, and in my spare time, I have successfully built Oslo Dawn Patrol, one of the largest open cycling communities in Europe, where people connect over a shared passion, make new friendships, and support each other in using their bicycle more for exercise and transport.
