Senior QA Engineer

In my role as an Application Analyst for Redline Performance Solutions, I play a critical role in ensuring the stability and reliability of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Weather Service Alerts system. As part of my responsibilities, I am not only tasked with performance testing of the system using Javascript & K6.io but also with conducting vulnerability testing to identify and address any potential security threats to the system.

My work includes developing and implementing test plans, designing and executing test cases, tracking and reporting bugs, and generating documentation and reports. I work closely with the development team to ensure that all performance and vulnerability testing is conducted in accordance with industry standards and best practices. Through my expertise in testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks, I have been able to make significant contributions to the quality and reliability of the NOAA Weather Service Alerts system.

F5 Networks

My experience as a senior QA engineer at F5 included manual & automated testing.  For the automated tests, I used Python & Selenium.  Primarily, I was responsible for manual test suite development and other manual test-related activities for our LAMP stack web application (ihealth.f5.com). I have direct experience in Windows, macOS, Linux, Vmware, AWS & Azure, and F5 hardware/software systems (BigIP/TMOS) configuration and testing.  In my final year at F5, I was the team SRE. 

Accomplishments:
* Promoted through numerous roles, including QA Engineer II and III and site reliability engineer (SRE).
* Served as principal QA for F5 Global Services iHealth product.
* Interviewed and hired offshore QA personnel.
* Deployed test VMs in Amazon AWS EC2.
* Authored technical documentation in Confluence Wiki.

SRE / QA Engineer III

Topia Technology

QA Lead.  

Maintained overall ownership of Topia Technology testing for desktop, mobile, and server platforms, including reviewing feature specifications, defining test methodology and tools, and documenting test planning and procedures on Wiki. Created and maintained automation framework and manual tests in Testlink. Monitored and managed Mantis and Redmine bug databases. Mentored QA staff. 

Accomplishments:
* Defined QA test methodology, including functional, automated, and E2E testing.
* Created automated UI testing using Python and Selenium.
* Performed iOS testing with Xcode instruments. 
* Authored technical documentation in Jira Wiki.

QA Management: Leadership of a team of four QA Engineers on the content team. Defines roles and responsibilities of QA Engineers. Refines, implements and maintains standardized methodology for QA. Recruits, Mentors, and Trains QA Engineers. Tracks QA progress and maintains those areas of the overall project management schedule. Monitors and Manages bug database. Works with Dev/Project Management to maximize effectiveness.

Accomplishments:
* Evaluated, purchased, installed and utilized test automation framework TestComplete from SmartBear.
* Managed and mentored team of four QA engineers.
* Standardized the overall QA process by creating a Wiki and implementing and formalizing test cases.

Amazon (Experis contractor)

Manual testing of the Amazon Kindle application on Android phones and tablets.  Administration and troubleshooting of Windows and Ubuntu Linux Systems.  Work with Android SDK to install and debug custom applications on all versions of Android OS.

* Participated in launch of Amazon Fire and Kindle for Android/iOS products
* Maintained device test lab of Android & iOS devices

Software Testing of Red Hat Enterprise Linux-based product for FBI NGI project, including test authoring, test execution, and live product tests with the customer present.

* Passed Limited Background Investigation for Public Trust clearance
* Lead live testing demos for FBI IT representatives

Test Engineer II

Computer Lab management and systems administration.  Setting up server/network environments as required for multiple groups.  Deploying and Administering Windows and Debian Linux guest operating systems on VMWare VSphere.

Accomplishments:
* Ran hardware test lab for Datacenter Cooling and Low Power Consumption research teams
* Ordered, Received, Inspected, Racked and Configured all new computer systems & equipment
