This year’s UX Tools survey confirms it: Figma is the tool. But the tasks are changing—and next year’s results might look very different. Figma still leads across workflows, from wireframing to prototyping to handoff. But if you dig deeper into the data, cracks are starting to show. If you look into prototyping, the dominance isn’t as absolute as it seems. Especially for more advanced prototyping Figma’s share is significantly lower—and I think that is going to be a trend we'll see across more areas next year. It’s not just about features anymore—it’s about how we work. AI-first tools are shifting the expectations around prototyping, ideation, and delivery. And while Figma’s latest releases try to meet that shift, they haven’t landed cleanly yet. This year’s survey captures a snapshot of where we are now. But it also hints at what’s bubbling beneath the surface—and that’s where the next wave of tool adoption might come from. Lovable, Bolt, v0 and all the other vibe coding tools aren’t represented here but sure will be in next years survey.
