Brikole Ltd

Brikole Pty Ltd is a newly established circular business with a focus on transforming waste streams generated by the industrial tuna fishing industry. The main waste source from the industrial tuna fishing industry are exhausted fishing gear being stored at Ile du Port. Brikole provide services to the industry bringing a long term, sustainable solution for the exhausted fishing net issue. The nets will go from a fibre to nylon pellets; a semi-finished product., thereby maximise the economic value from the materials and will initiate a new industry in the country.

Coordinator for the ReNet Project

The ReNet Project aims to find opportunities for the reuse of abandoned derelict fishing gears from the artisanal, semi-industrial and industrial fishing in the Seychelles. The main aim of the ReNet Project is to reduce derelict gear from reaching the ocean by collecting these directly from fishing vessels and encouraging the fishermen in their removal at sea.

The project is aimed at supporting the promotion of the new Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) for Seychelles and getting multi-stakeholder support, targeting private sector and civil society organisations in the country. 

S4S is an NGO seeking to promote sustainable living in Seychelles in collaboration with citizens, the government, other civil society groups, the private sector, and the media. Their mission is to work towards social, ecological, economic & technological sustainability, and to inspire, inform & enable people to live, work & play in ways that benefit human & natural communities.

Lead coordinator managing the establishment of the Seychelles’ zones of jurisdiction, as part of Seychelles International Boundaries Programme, for the delimitation of the International Boundaries between States.

Prepare and deliver strategic direction in regards to ocean science and development of research towards the development of the blue economy. 

Play the key role of lead coordinator as focal point and contributor for the Joint Management Area Seychelles-Mauritius and the implementing UNDP Standalone Demonstration JMA Project, focal person for the International Oceanographic Commission of the UNESCO and the International Seabed Authority for the government of Seychelles.

Have a key strategic role in the management of spatial data including the acquisition and creation of new spatial data and integration of these data into the organisation’s GIS and metadata databases, web mapping applications and customised solutions.

With over 15 years of experience in spatial science, and 5 years in sustainable development, circular economy, and blue economy, I am passionate about creating a positive impact on the environment and society through innovative and collaborative projects. 

As a consultant and founder of SHORE Institute, I leverage my expertise in spatial science and project management to advance the understanding and management of Seychelles' marine environment using hydro(spatial) technologies and data.

Previously, I coordinated and executed various sustainability projects and policies as a project manager at UNDP, aligning them with the UN programs and the Sustainable Development Goals. I also developed my skills and knowledge in marine resource management, ocean governance, marine spatial planning, and sustainable fisheries, contributing to the design and implementation of blue economy initiatives. I am always eager to learn and explore new domains and industries related to sustainability, and to share my insights and best practices with others.
