🟠 Execution vs Consultancy (vs Tasks)

Since I freelance, several businesses reached out for their business SEO.

Whilst most of them are looking for a consultant to help with their organic traffic growth, some follow a different approach.

They have an agenda in mind, which is often:
- Build links
- Optimise their website/pages
- Technical SEO
- Create content

Specific task-based agendas, and with something in common:

They don't have relevant expertise in-house.

They look to hire someone with relevant expertise to execute the work they *think* they need.

This has never worked with me. Mostly because their tasks lacked strategy, looking for either a relatively quick solution or a plan that was not correct (in my humble opinion, ofc).

I'm lucky enough to be able to refuse these "tasks", but I'd like to have the opinion of others.
