In 2009 I created BLLA, the only official organization for the world's boutique lifestyle hotels promoting industry sector growth, connections to resources and capital, education through conferences and access to podcasts and videos, and advocacy for independent owners and operators. As a pioneer in forecasting the boutique movement, I am pleased that our network has grown beyond its hotel foundation wherein we also welcome more passionate entrepreneurs, businesses, and purveyors that amplify the boutique lifestyle. It was discovered on our conference stages over the years that boutique hotel owners and these entrepreneurs that own boutique-like establishments and brands, share the exact same customer.
