As a first generation undergraduate and graduate school college student from rural Kansas, resilience was required throughout the collegiate and job search experiences. I observed my Dad's ability to support his family as a high school drop out by building relationships. I followed suit and built a tenacious network of coaches, teachers, other parents, etc. I learn daily from my network and those around me!
