Fred Dijkstra's Linkedin Analytics

I have a masters degree in electrical engineering from the University of Twente at Enschede, The Netherlands and have a broad interest in electronics, computer technology and bio-informatics. Since 1996 I have worked for several companies in the ICT market and specified, designed and implemented amongst others complex real-time measurement systems, embedded telecommunication systems, mobile communication protocols and wireless algorithms. I have fulfilled roles as software developer, system architect, project engineer, team leader and managing director of my own high-tech company. As such I have managed several innovative development programs, planning and giving direction to small innovative development teams with a strong drive for delivering quality. It is my strong belief that we live in a time where technology is advancing to a point where we are only limited by our own creativeness in putting the technology pieces together and finding ways to implement our ideas into new product-market combinations. In my opinion, this requires an interdisciplinary and integrated approach of management, research, engineering, industrial design, marketing and sales to find the best ways as to how to fulfill the needs of users and even create new needs by pushing technological innovations. To anticipate on this paradigm shift, in my work I assist on several levels in the creation of high-tech organizations that are able to create interdisciplinary teams and that harness the creativity of people and the unobstructed generation and implementation of innovative ideas into new products. In these organizations I contribute to the generation of new product ideas, the initial stages of new product development, designing the system architectures as well as structuring the project, the processes and thereby even restructering the organization to get the best solution.
