With a 20+ year career in public practice accounting and having built up and sold down parts of my accounting practice multiple times I'm now able to focus some of my energies on my real passion - finding more efficient ways to handle workflows in an accounting firm. I'm now involved in some interesting projects that I believe will prove to be the catalysts for a phase transition in the Australian public practice compliance space from a cumbersome compliance process to an almost fully automated process. Some of the projects that I'm currently involved with include - Building a web-based platform for facilitating digital interaction with government agencies including Tax Office, all State Revenue Offices & Australian Securities & Investment Commission. This platform is now live and sold as QuickBooks Tax powered by LodgeiT for use by accountants, bookkeepers & businesses in the Australian regulatory jurisdiction. Exploring the digital frontier of regulatory compliance, looking for solutions that have the potential to radically alter the domain space.
