In college, I took a class that drastically changed the way I see life. I learned how mental disorders look from a neurobiological perspective. I learned through the lens of a Pet scan how different moods and disorder’s can activate or fail to activate parts of your brain. But most importantly, how your mental and physical health today can completely change the way your brain ages tomorrow. This course aided me in seeking a deeper meaning of the overused phrase “Work hard now and enjoy later.” An expression that has captivated and given me a different perspective to focus on the needs, not the wants. Such as how we: live, eat, exercise, and learn. Key pillars that can physically and mentally allow us to enjoy our tomorrows. Since taking this class, I have seen life from a different viewpoint that has transformed my way of thinking to seek happiness in every situation, most notably in uncomfortable ones. So while this is a business app, remember to nurture your tomorrows and find felicity in the places that are commonly overlooked.
