Marsabit Botanical Garden

Marsabit Botanical Garden is the first and one of its kind in Northern Kenya among indigenous Pastoralist Communities. Our garden have different species of trees, shrubs ,medicinal plants, flowers and grasses. At Marsabit Botanical Garden We are engaging Pastoralist communities on environmental conservation, climate change education, protection of endangered plants species and protection of traditional knowledge by conserving traditional medicinal plants.

Indigenous Community Support Program which is a registered Community Based Organisation work with Indigenous people living in Marsabit that is Hunters and gatherers,Pastoralist and Agro-pastoralist communities.
We are working on the following thematic areas:
1 Protection and promotion of culture
2 Protection of Traditional knowledge
3 Environmental Conservation and Climate Change
4 Capacity buiding of Indigenous People on UNDRIP and Nagoya protocol
5 Peace Building through Community dialogue
