	Reporting directly to the President Global Supply Chain, led the design, and development of a brand-new Category Management Organisation, to manage a ~$3G spend across all categories.  This included the preparation and approval of business case by the Executive Leadership Team.
	Interviewed 100+ internal and external candidates and brought ~30 Global Category Managers and Category Specialists into the Organisation.
	Led and directed (with support of external 3P consultants) the development of a new Category Management Lifecycle Process (with forms, templates and tools) for the new Organisation.
	Guided the development of appropriate training material for the newly inducted personnel.
	Set the Category Management Vision, led training sessions and participated in the training program.
	Initiated a program of contracts harmonization and savings to demonstrate the immediate value that the organisation could bring.  Exceeded the savings target of $30M ahead of schedule, through a globally focussed but geographically dispersed Category Management Team - consisting of 5 Global Category Managers and ~20 Global Category Specialists, addressing a spend of ~$1.75G.
	Commenced the development of multiple Sub-Category Strategies to cover the entire Wood Direct Spend of ~$3G across all categories both focussed and non-focussed.

Managing the Global Category of Lubricants Packaging with a global annual spend of $400M+, providing strategic leadership and commercial category guidance to a team of 12 Contracts Managers based in 6 different locations around the world.

Senior Category Manager - Downstream

Managed the newly created Global Category of International Freight Forwarding (FF) and Customs Clearance.  Developed a Strategic Plan for the FF Category and led the mapping exercise of all Inbound/Outbound Customs Footprint across the EAME Zone.

Senior Category Manager - Global Supply Chain

Managed Global Categories of Production Brownfield Projects (EPC Contracting), Aviation Services, Off-shore Catering Services and Shore-Base Services.  Led the development of Sourcing Strategies and subsequent implementation in the Production Units (PUs).  Led and facilitated the Global Logistics Networks and a Production Projects Network across ExxonMobil’s 14 PUs.  Annual worldwide spend on goods and services exceeded $5G.  Led and facilitated several cost saving initiatives that yielded results in excess of $1G.

Global Category Specialist / Global Strategic Sourcing Specialist - Upstream

Ensured that the procurement processes and expenditure (circa $1G across UK and Norway) contributed positively to the Safety, Volumes and Operating Cost / Capital Expense of the Company’s operated assets.  This encompassed stewardship to operations and drilling management, management of departmental resources, and coordination with staff functions in the Company.  This included providing ExxonMobil’s “best-in-class” advocacy and expertise on procurement tools and processes.  Have had direct experience of having taken the Procurement department through SOX 404 audits by PwC and internal SHE assessments and internal audits.  Managed and coordinated the change associated with transfer of non-complex workload to a Business Support Centre in Prague.  Other projects /activities included the design, development and implementation of a Global Client Procurement Guide, and membership of various global networks viz., Acquisition Network and Negotiation Excellence Network.

Led the development of the strategy for wholesale distribution in Germany, and executed an Agreement with cumulative Cost of Goods reduction (savings) of $50M.  Regionally implemented the global tobacco category strategy, which achieved Rebates of $20M over a 5-year period.  In both cases, led & managed the project from the planning stage, soliciting and analysing proposals, benchmarking against other suppliers, managing the negotiations to finally concluding a contract.

International Sourcing Specialist

Responsible for analysing existing procedures and processes within the newly merged organisation, and identifying best practices from heritage-Mobil, heritage-Exxon Chemical and heritage-Exxon International organisations.  Projects included travel and entertainment claims processing, independent verification, and transactional review of procurement plans. Facilitated and led from Procurement perspective the outsourcing of JV Account Payables activity to Andersen Consulting in the UK, and to STRAT.OS in the Benelux, Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
