My role in the project was to create an aesthetically pleasing and readable layout that complemented the book's content.

I began by selecting appropriate fonts and typefaces that reflected the book's tone and style. I then crafted a visual design that included chapter headings, section breaks, and graphics that enhanced the reading experience. It was important to create a cohesive design that aligned with the author's vision and captured the essence of the book's message.

Throughout the project, I collaborated with the author and the BCKDRP team to ensure that the design met their expectations and specifications. We worked together to make adjustments, refine the design, and finalize the layout.

Viable

Viable is a financial consultancy agency that assists entrepreneurs in making better financial decisions for their business. As a freelance branding designer, I had the opportunity to work on the Minimal Viable Branding of the company. I focused on developing a branding strategy that could reach the right target audience and lead to a higher conversion rate of users. This involved conducting thorough market research, identifying the brand's unique value proposition, and creating a cohesive visual identity that would resonate with potential clients. The branding materials I designed included a logo, color palette and typography. It was a rewarding experience to work with the Viable team and help them establish a strong brand presence in their industry.

A startup platform for artists to earn their livelihood solely through their art, I worked as a freelance UI/UX and brand identity designer under Reck. Media. I was responsible for building the branding identity from scratch, which included conducting brand user research, devising brand strategy and positioning. I also designed the entire product design app, which involved creating the posting, profile page, feed, and fan pages. This experience was invaluable as it provided me with insights into how startups work and how to approach this industry. I worked closely with the team and learned a lot from this enriching experience.

During my time as a full-time Graphics Visual Designer at BCKDRP, I played an instrumental role in developing the brand's identity by designing a full-length brand identity for the company. I also designed a modern, engaging, and seamless website in the brutalist style that reflected the branding and enhanced the user experience. Additionally, I was responsible for designing captivating social media posts with the help of the in-house copywriter. Our team focused on creating engaging content to help entrepreneurs understand the Gen Z audience and provide them with exceptional design services to help move their businesses forward. To further support the brand, I also created assets and cover designs for Medium articles and case studies. Overall, my experience at BCKDRP allowed me to gain valuable insight into developing a brand's visual identity, website design, social media design, and creating engaging design content that resonates with target audiences.

Healthy Barks

As a freelance designer, I had the opportunity to work with Healthy Barks, a startup in the pet food industry, where I was responsible for designing a responsive website for the brand's launch. The website I designed included information about the brand and a product recommendation quiz for pet owners. Working closely with the CEO of the brand, I gained valuable insights into leading and understanding the brand team's goals while honing my design skills. This project was my first freelance design project, and it was an enriching experience that provided me with a deeper understanding of the design process. Overall, it was a fantastic learning experience that allowed me to gain valuable insights and enhance my skills as a designer.

As an intern at Red Baton Design Studio, I had the opportunity to work under the guidance of a senior UI/UX designer and senior graphics designer. My responsibilities included creating user interface designs and developing branding concepts. I worked collaboratively with the team to design multiple website pages for a client, and even had the chance to attend client meetings. Additionally, I provided initial branding ideations for another client under the mentorship of the senior designer at Red Baton. Overall, this internship provided me with an excellent learning experience that helped me grow as a designer.

I graduated with a Bachelor in Design degree from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kolkata, in 2020, where I developed my skills in communication design, visual culture, and photography. I have also won the prestigious Awwwards award for Best Mobile Experience, a recognition of my outstanding work in creating a user-friendly and visually appealing mobile experience. I am passionate about web design and I enjoy collaborating with clients and teams to deliver exceptional results.
