I take personal development very seriously, I have built up my skills over my 16 years of employment, I studied for my BSc, diplomas and certificates while working. This allowed me to progress from warehouse operative to geoscientist. I relish the challenge of learning new skills and doing my very best to master them. My preferred model for doing business? What is good customer service? I am often asked in interviews; for my part it is something that people do not notice, they will readily notice really poor service and rarely praise exceptional service. But the important point is that they noticed! Good service looks effortless, everything drops into the right place at the right time with no unpleasant surprises. No-one notices! You remember all those journeys where you were delayed most vividly but not so much when it all went smoothly. This is what I aim to deliver. What makes me stand out? I believe it is remarkably easy to get to the root of a problem when people are not forced to be defensive, blame is the enemy - there should only be accountability, people should be allowed to learn, that is how we grow. I see that problems can also be the seeds of new opportunities; though a healthy dose of realism is useful, it is striking how many inventions were devised to solve a completely different problem.
