I am a strategic membership and business development leader with over twenty years of experience in driving membership growth, engagement and revenue. My expertise lies in transforming membership propositions, building high performing teams and developing long term strategic partnerships that deliver tangible value. I have a strong track record in growing corporate membership, improving retention and aligning membership offerings with organisational goals.

As Head of Membership at the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, I successfully increased membership by twenty percent and generated an additional £1 million in revenue by modernising the membership model and implementing a value based approach. I led a team of ten professionals and spearheaded the delivery of government funded contracts. Through data driven retention strategies and targeted member engagement initiatives, I enhanced member satisfaction and long term loyalty.

Currently, I am a Senior Business Development Manager at the APM, leading corporate membership growth and engagement across key industries including life sciences, financial services, space, defence, aerospace, government, technology and both local, and central government. I work closely with senior stakeholders to help organisations embed project management excellence into their business. This supports them in mitigating risk, improving efficiency and delivering complex projects successfully.

I develop and implement membership strategies that enhance the corporate partnership experience, ensuring organisations maximise their investment in APM membership. By aligning membership benefits with corporate priorities, I help businesses access professional development opportunities, industry insights and peer networking to support their project teams. Through targeted engagement, I have played a key role in expanding APM’s corporate membership base and increasing participation in its professional development initiatives.

This paper captures senior level thinking from Windsor Castle on how project leadership is evolving in the context of AI, complexity and increasing board level expectation.
