30% Club UK

The 30percent Club was established in October 2010 to increase gender diversity in UK companies.  Since then it has expanded across many countries   We campaign for more senior females on Boards and Executive Committees.  I played an integral role in helping to shape the organisation and launch it in October 2010.  Since then I have led the PR team, supported the messaging, delivered high profile media campaigns, contributed to social media and represented the organisation by sitting on panels, writing articles, and helping to influence and create change.

Women of Influence, CancerResearch UK

Influential businesswomen coming together to help beat cancer by supporting world class women in science.  I was invited to be part of this Board, newly created to mentor and raise money for female fellows and other senior women in science.  We achieved our fund raising target of nearly £1million, raised through our annual Bags Bangles and Brooches event and other initiatives, and I remain a mentor to a research fellow at Cambridge.

Board Member of Cancer Research Uk’s Women of Influence

JPMorgan Global Growth & Income plc

A global equity investment trust, listed on the London Stock Exchange that aims to provide capital growth and income through investing in approximately 70 - 80 companies in which the manager has a high degree of conviction. I was a NED for over 9years and became the SID in November 2015.  In July 2016, the Board reshaped the trust, then called JP Morgan Overseas, into a higher yielding vehicle yet with the same investment process.  The trust soon began to trade at a premium, with a significant change to the shareholder base with 15% moving from institutional to private investor hands, regularly issuing shares rather than buying them back. Since then the trust merged with Scottish Investment Trust and then with JP Morgan Elect.
