This is what I do and why I do it. I founded RBLP Leadership Certifications in 2018 because there wasn’t a nationally recognized leadership certification in the marketplace. Managers could earn certifications in project management, human resources, talent development, and so on. But there wasn’t a certification for managers to prove their leadership knowledge, skills, and experience. We changed that! Now there is a leadership certification that managers can earn to prove what they know about leadership. How did we do it? We conducted a leadership job-task-analysis in 2018 to figure out the knowledge, skills, and experience required to build and lead resilient teams in the workplace. Building and leading resilient teams isn’t just a responsibility – it is an essential capability for managers in today’s dynamic and often unpredictable world. The best managers build and lead resilient teams because organizations face a range of challenges, from economic uncertainty and technological disruptions to workforce dynamics and global crises. In such an environment, the ability to navigate adversity and emerge stronger is paramount. This is where resilient teams come into play, and why organizations need leaders who can build and lead these teams effectively. Resilient teams do more than just weather the storm – they thrive in challenging environments by overcoming adversity, adapting to change, and growing stronger together. The job-task-analysis showed that resilient teams are characterized by their ability to maintain high performance under pressure, recover quickly from setbacks, and find opportunities for growth amid challenges. Resilient teams work collaboratively and leverage the strengths and perspectives of their members to tackle complex problems. That was 2018. Fast forward to today… RBLP is the only nationally recognized series of leadership certifications. Our tiered certification program allows frontline, experienced, and senior managers to validate all of the leadership knowledge, skills, and experience they have gained getting the work done in their organizations. RBLP leadership certifications have significant college credit recommendations from the American Council on Education (ACE). Our certifications are listed on the U.S. Department of Labor CareerOneStop site as a workforce development resource for employees and employers. The U.S. Department of Defense credentialing programs and the GI Bill fund our certifications for military personnel and veterans.
