At 17, I dropped out of college. Today, I'm building Local Education to connect teachers and support staff with their perfect school while helping schools find the best educators and save money. I kicked off my journey in education recruitment back in 2014 after spending a few years in public-sector recruitment with a large agency. I was instantly drawn to how much of a difference a supply agency can make in the lives of both students and staff. Working in education felt like a calling because having the right person in the right spot can truly transform the learning experience for young people. After 15 years of working for several large agencies, I had two realizations: 1) We need to create a more cost-effective way to assist local schools. 2) There is a national shortage of qualified teaching staff, and those in the supply market are often undervalued. In June 2022, I built my first local agency, EECS, specifically helping schools in the South Essex Area. Local Education was created to help schools find the best local teachers and staff. We also provide quality training to upskill teachers in the community, creating a passionate talent pool that cares about their schools and students.
