I lead a team of scientists who discovered over 4000 novel protein-protein interactions in the fruit fly in the laboratory of Russell Finley. Further, we retested thousands of interactions from the literature to identify a highly-reliable "core" set of interactome data. 

Conducted proteomic research using novel techniques, supervised staff and wrote manuscripts.

Postdoctoral fellow - Cerebral Ischemia and Reperfusion

Established microarray analysis techniques in the laboratory, investigated the transcriptional control program governing the transition from fermentative to respiratory growth in yeast, performed genomic and physiological characterization of two newly discovered respiratory mutants lacking the ability to grow efficiently on glycerol as sole carbon source, real-time PCR investigations into gene expression during C. trachomatis persistence. Also involved in current collaboration using microarrays to comprehensively define the transcriptome-wide changes that drive the transition to the persistent state in C. trachomatis. This project involved significant reanalysis of current as well as previous Chlamydia microarray research using the R statistical programming language.

Data Science and Genomics
It is a great privilege to use predictive analytics to drive business decisions. I hold a Ph.D. in immunology / microbiology an M.S. in computer science as well as a certification in data science. I led a team of scientists through a major protein interaction mapping project. My research on this and other projects has given me the honor of an Erdős number of 5.
