Communications Officer and first-class history graduate/MA candidate, with a background in business administration, customer service, and local government. Skilled in research, writing, and project work, with an interest in the public and third sectors. Throughout my education I undertook several placements and internships, including: • Developed a project for National Museum Cardiff to research the Cardiff Race Riots and create online content for public engagement. • At Parkinson’s UK Cymru, created and presented a visual historical timeline for the Cardiff branch's 50th anniversary. • As an Archive and Library Officer for the Welsh Centre for International Affairs, planned, managed, and executed a project that catalogued WCIA's library collection. • Assisted the Jewish History Association of South Wales with organising and recording their archival records. My BA and MA refined my ability to research, critically analyse and present data to diverse audiences, with excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to adapt to different circumstances. I have a demonstrated background of effectively managing my time by prioritising and organising my workload to meet deadlines, resulting in receiving the ‘Humanities Prize for Best Overall Performance by a BA History Student.’ Prior to university I achieved NVQs in Business Administration and Team Leading, through an apprenticeship with Reading Borough Council. I worked as a Customer Relations Officer, managing complaints and enquiries from local residents working with cross functional teams. In my current graduate role, I work in corporate communications entailing researching and drafting press releases, social media campaigning, marketing and PR, content creation, and working with the community.
