Director of Professional Development and Recruitment

Manage planning, coordination, administration, and implementation of all Professional Development programs and oversee attorney legal recruitment. Responsible for ensuring Firm policies are current and drafting new policies as needed. Coordinate and/or recommend practice group focused training programs; create and run First Year Associate orientation program. Administer and work closely with department chairs on counsel and associate review and compensation processes. Primary responsibility for staffing assignments for the litigation department. Manage lateral attorney recruiting. Perform exit interviews with all departing associates and counsel. Work with committee co-chairs to run the Diversity, Mentoring, and Pro Bono Committees and their underlying programs and training. Serve as an advisor for associates. Manage human resources coordinator to coordinate the Firm’s CLE programs and ensure compliance with all CLE requirements for internal programs. Complete and/or take an active role in completing RFPs, Firm Surveys, and Firm Insurance applications. Take active role in several Firm committees (e.g., Hiring, Best Practices, Associate Life) to work on initiatives, analysis, strategies, and administrative matters. Maintain an understanding of available products and programs, services and tools, processes and procedures, and best practices. Establish and manage Professional Development budget and expenses.

Coordinated in-house and outside training across all departments; co-ran the year-end evaluation and compensation process; and various other Professional Development programs.   Prepared week-long orientation program for fall associates.  Liaison to associates.

Professional Development Specialist

Represented corporate clients in employment suits brought in state and federal jurisdictions, as well as in claims brought before various administrative agencies, regarding discrimination claims; wrongful discharge claims; wage and hour claims; and breach of employment contract claims.  Advised clients on day-to-day compliance with federal and state labor and employment laws.

Employment Law Associate

Prepared multiple complaints, answers, and discovery in areas of law including Employment, Securities, Contract and Property.  Responsible for researching in-house ethical matters and possible conflicts.  Extensive client contact.  Participated in pro-bono work for families of World Trade Center Victims.

As Head of Alumnae Relations for Tripp Lake Camp, I combine over 15 years of experience in recruiting and professional development (including running multiple mentorship programs) with my passion for engaging people and helping them cultivate and foster meaningful relationships. My enthusiasm for, and involvement with, TLC spans many years as a camper, counselor, and camp parent.
