I’ve been a serial entrepreneur for 40 years (6x). Once upon a time, I had a job — but I got fired. So, what do you do after that? You launch a startup. Rebel move, right? We took thousands of working-class people, trained them to be software developers, and launched them into new careers. Everyone said it couldn’t be done. We did it — at scale. Fast forward through decades of building tech ventures and leading a venture studio. In 2016, I co-founded CanaGlobal, the world’s first faith-driven venture studio and startup incubator. We asked ourselves: How do we equip thousands and thousands of startup founders? How do we transform access to capital and mentorship for a new breed of faith-driven founders? We’re doing it. And yes — at scale. Here’s the thing: Founders constantly face obstacles and setbacks. If God’s offering help, why wouldn’t we learn to leverage it? I’ve had a love-hate relationship with venture capital for years. Too often, it’s plagued by elitism and gatekeepers who think they get to choose the winners and losers. But let’s be real — most VCs have mediocre results. Why? Not enough in-the-trenches operators. Too many money managers. So we reimagined what a startup ecosystem could be. We combined business, purpose, success, and faith. We let God choose the winners and losers, not man. And we built CanaGlobal — a place where investors and founders co-create iconic startups.
