As a leadership coach, I've had a wide array of coaching experiences. My group coaching expertise started in 2012 when I advised community leaders in four refugee camps during clashes on the Thai-Burma border. Now, I coach and consult (with both groups and 1:1) COVID-19 front line responders, C-Suite execs at fortune 500s, and owners of small to medium-sized businesses. My passion is connecting with others to help them live in the zone of success on their terms, and to me that means not just professionally, but personally as well.

Passionate about the holistic benefits of yoga, I founded Yoga East, Provincetown's first yoga and wellness studio, in 2008. We have hosted dozens of workshops and special events, as well as year-round programming at the tip of Cape Cod.

With my business partner Cassandra Benson, we purchased, gutted, and marketed multiple properties on Cape Cod and Boston. The most rewarding of these projects was The Gulls Nest, a 12 unit Platinum LEED award-winning affordable housing neighborhood. This may go down as one of the most memorable times of my life, as it coincided with the death of my mom and the opening of Yoga East. A trifecta of events!

As a Founder at Anathan Advisors, LLC, I provide leadership and executive coaching to individuals and groups who face challenging times and need to optimize their performance and well-being. I have over 15 years of coaching experience working primarily with women (and their friends) in leadership roles. 

My core competencies include high-flow state coaching from the Flow Research Collective, psychological safety, executive presence, resilience, and neuroscience. I help my clients tap into their most high-performing selves, make smart decisions, and navigate the way forward with passion, integrity, and humor. I also deliver keynote speeches and workshops on topics related to peak performance, fearless organization work, and the power of the unconscious mind. My mission is to connect with others and help them live in the zone of success on their terms, both professionally and personally.

Flow state, also known as being "in the zone," is a mental state where a you're fully immersed and focused on the task at hand, experiencing a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the activity. Do you ever notice how much happier you are when you're moving, stretching, running, playing? 

There are several ways to help cultivate a flow state while exercising:

1. Set clear goals: Having specific and measurable goals for your workout can help you stay focused and engaged in the activity.

2. Challenge yourself: Push yourself outside of your comfort zone and challenge your limits to stay engaged and enter into flow state.

3. Eliminate distractions: Minimize distractions such as your phone or external noises to help immerse yourself fully in the workout.

4. Find activities you enjoy: Engaging in activities that you enjoy and find fulfilling can help you enter into flow state more easily.

5. Focus on the present moment: Concentrate on the sensations of your body, your breathing, and the movements you are performing to stay present and engaged in the activity.

6. Practice mindfulness: Practicing mindfulness techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or visualization can help you enter into flow state more effectively.

By incorporating these strategies into your exercise routine, you can increase your chances of experiencing flow state, and have a ton more fun.

Maximizing Morning Rituals: Quiet on the Western Front.  
 
You've likely considered how your morning routine sets the tone for your day. I've been experimenting lately. Instead of diving straight into emails, the NYT, etc, I'm starting with stretching, thinking about all the things I'm so grateful for, and being completely quiet. (no coffee for 90 minutes per Huberman Lab!) 
 
It's made a big difference in my world. Sure, I want to check my emails and be there for my early bird clients. But just carving that bit of time out makes a big difference in my grounding.
