- 15 years working on digital experiences - Developer → Designer - Excited about Design Systems! 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗺 𝗜 Born in Toronto to Italian parents, I am Italian when it comes to food 🍕and Football ⚽. I am Canadian because I say sorry way too often. I love reading, collecting video games and playing Football ⚽ I am passionate about social good and well-crafted design amongst many other things. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗜 𝗮𝗺 𝗻𝗼𝘄 My role as a Product Design Lead gave me the opportunity to help. I joined to help Tangerine’s customers with my expertise as a designer through simplicity, creating trustworthy experiences that enrich lives with financial awareness and financial literacy. But what truly attracted me was the opportunity to help less experienced designers navigate their design work, their career and their lives as professionals and young people. 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 Initially, I pursued a career in programming with dreams of creating video games that would transport players to other worlds, evoking pure joy and endless smiles. Despite life changes and pivots, I've taken risks, leaving comfort zones to pursue growth and learning. I have always been determined to be better and achieve more. I’ve spent the last 15 years working on websites, products and other digital experiences, from development to design to managing content to design systems. My breadth of experience has allowed me to learn a lot of things about a lot of things. I have the uncommon experience as a designer who has written code and the ability to understand how to build experiences. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 I love solving problems. I feel like I have to fix it, improve it, create efficiency, and I immediately start thinking how to do it (I probably think too much). I am curious about how things work, and I constantly try to soak up knowledge and information. Experts say curiosity is a curse, but I want to believe it’s motivational. I enjoy jamming collaboratively on design problems in Figma, but I also really love quietly tinkering alone, too. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲 My goal as a designer is to craft impactful and meaningful experiences, fostering positive change and helping others. I enjoy collaborating with like-minded individuals to create meaningful projects that resonate with people's lives. There's beauty in working together towards shared goals and understanding.
