Wow! Nothing like family, and here we are celebrating oldest daughter birthday at her favorite local beer spot:) (daughter boyfriend included!)

I've got 3 kids in college and 1 out - and they are all making their way. Awesome to witness. Of course not without challenges, the line is never straight in life.

Had a great discussion with my daughter yesterday about work/life balance. It's a "thing!" What we were diving into is how important it is to create a structure to make time for those things in life that can get ignored when work is intense:

* Relationships
* Exercise
* Down-time

We also talked about little things you can do each day to create a positive vibe for the day. For me, I crank my favorite Spotify playlist the minute I open my eyes in the morning.

Sets the tone for the whole day. I put my headphones on and crank the shit out of the music. And I always zero in on one thing that day I can look forward to. Usually that is hitting the gym at lunch time.

Isn't life grand!

My take on the Target Store swag bag debacle...

Target had a great idea to create buzz and hype around the giveaway of a swag bag on Black Friday to first arrivals. The marketing of the swag bag went viral and tons of people camped out from 2am on to be first in line.

Then reality hit when people opened the bags. Complete joke!

The bag was huge and silver in color and inside the bag was a deck of Uno cards, Nerds candy, a lip balm of some sort, some lotion I think and another crappy item.

People were pissed off and went to social to vent their anger. The vids went viral on TikTok and Instagram and Target continues to get blasted.

A complete and utter faceplant!

Drive Traffic To Your Event

Live or virtual events are a killer way to engage with top prospects. Here are the essential pieces to make it happen:

No toxic people allowed!!!!

I jumped on a Zoom with a new prospect and right out of the gates this individual was toxic. Had a confrontational personality and immediately my spidey senses went off.

Just as I was about to launch into my presentation I stopped cold and said to the guy that we are not a personality match and it is going to work out.

He then said he's interested in what I was offering and I said I'm not and bam, Zoom call over.

I have made it a rule not to allow any toxic people into my personal or business life. A toxic personality will torch my awesome team and will impact my personal life. Not going to happen!

I would have regretted letting this individual into my world at any level. It feels incredible to get rid of someone like that.
