Profundo Research & Insight (now Customer IQ)

Profundo was my first go at creating and running a business and took me on a great journey of learning and discovery!

I started out contracting and freelancing, working for corporates and market research agencies who needed my skills or an extra pair of hands.

Whilst this type of work gave me some freedom to manage my own time, it didn't give me the professional reward I was looking for longer-term. 

So around 2016 I focused on positioning myself as a consultancy, delivering research projects to clients, whilst trying to maintain an income. Hard work!

But in 2 short years I turned the business around from 67:33 contracting:freelancing to 82% project work. This was no mean feat and I am genuinely thankful to those early clients for trusting me. 

Building up the business into 2019 and being fortunate enough to be accepted onto the NatWest Accelerator, we then had covid to deal with. 

I managed to scrape through but by 2021, I realised there was a greater mission for me to tackle. The time was right for Customer IQ...

I launched and established the Consultancy division of Digital-i, delivering a number of high profile strategic insight projects to a wide range of Broadcast clients.

Certainly when you consider it's startups who need it the most. Through my business - Customer IQ - I am on a mission to change that by changing the way research and customer insight is delivered to the startup community. 

I started my career in research in the year 2000 and spent 10 years in a mix of agency and client roles (BMRB, BBC, Channel 5). 

In 2010 I set up on my own - spent some years in the wilderness of contracting and freelancing before developing a vision and mission to help startup founders and their teams.
