Delivery Manager

Superdry

Working collaboratively with the IT Department, the Digital Teams, Business Transformation and the wider business teams to successfully shape the outcome and delivery of projects and programmes of work, bringing the online world and offline world closer together for the Superdry customer.

Introducing and implementing processes and ways of working, managing and coordinating key projects that help deliver an improved Retail experience for customers and store colleagues.

Owning the management of essential projects. These include for example store openings (flagship inclusive) on a Global scale and in store digital enhancements. Working with external suppliers to construct RAIDAs and timelines that can be communicated back to the business and used as key documentation for successful project delivery.

Within this role, I worked as part of a multi-discipline team to deliver new system implementation & system changes. Planning, monitoring and managing multiple projects, and leading the business through all phases of the project lifecycle. 

Using an organised, methodical, hands on approach, I utilised my existing experience to plan and deliver projects from idea, build, test, go live and closure, with effective and timely handover of projects into BAU.

Retail Systems Project Manager (IT)

Presenting and implementing methodologies and ways of working to the business, allowing it to truly understand the value of an idea (using Value Proposition activities, Visioning workshops and Business Model articulation), even if stopping is the right thing to do. Understanding the Business Strategy and direction and executing ideas that allow Superdry to execute its strategy successfully.
 
Understanding requirements to determine the feasibility and impact (on people, process and technology), potential opportunity, and ultimately deciding whether a project/programme is viable. Running workshops culminating in the successful design of processes, and obtaining agreement from the Business on these.
 
Developing the Business Case, Project Brief and Kick Off documentation for key initiatives, enabling sign off from Senior Management and planning and implementing of strategic deliverables. Successful work delivered includes:

1. Global Supply Chain review and recommendations
2. Sample Tracking Process development and implementation
3. Markdown Optimisation tool delivery and implementation
4. RFID (Grey Market) Project delivery and implementation
5. Operations with the China JV (including developing and embedding an in-country sourcing model)
6. Brexit Strategy planning and execution
7. Critical Path enhancements
8. Digital Initiative Execution

Business Consultant

UCAS

An integral element of this role saw me play a leading role in the redevelopment and evolution of the product market strategy for UCAS, defining new product requirements and driving new product developments. I managed the redevelopment of the new UCAS Search product and Collection Tool, several information and advice products/services, and supported on managing the direction and strategical implementation of personalisation into the user experience of core products.

In my role as Product Manager a primary focus was working with closely with all customer groups, using a transparent philosophy to help deliver a greater customer experience. I supported and promoted UCAS products externally and internally, as well as managed product direction from vision, to go-live and beyond - using Agile techniques to help develop the backlog, roadmap and vision, allowing the organisation to continue to realise the benefits of agile delivery. Close work with the Scrum teams on a daily basis enabled the realisation of iterative delivery methods and value early and often.

Strategic Product Manager

Creating, shaping and implementing the social media strategy across UCAS (short and long term) - managing and developing the UCAS social media channels to make sure strategic objectives were achieved. Key channels included Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Blogger.

Campaign creation and management across social media, integrating this with overall marketing activity to drive engagement and increase traffic to UCAS' .com sites (including www.ucas.com and www.ucasmedia.com)

Developed and educated on social media as a key channel for communication internally and externally. Organising and running workshops to increase staff understanding and awareness.

Provided leading support on digital projects from a social media perspective - for example, the creation of the new UCAS website and implementation of the UCAS Connect bloggers

Managed the relationships with external agencies on key digital projects. These included www.ucasconnect.com and a new innovative, student-only community based Facebook application

Managed and moderated the UCAS social media profiles and pages - making sure they remained consistent in design and adhered to brand guidelines. Offered management, support, guidance and best practice advice to social media executives.

Played a key role in the development, design and creation of an internal recruitment strategy using social media as a key driver

Established short /long term content plans for social media channels that were used to help drive commercial revenue, brand awareness and maximise engagement with target audiences

Constructed monthly reports focusing on key metrics such as engagement, sentiment, traffic and referrals, and communicated these to senior staff and key internal stakeholders. Tools used include Radian 6, Google Analytics, Buto, Facebook insights.

The social media team won the European award for Social Media in Customer Service at the ECCCSA awards - a winning achievement I am extremely proud of.

Social Media Manager

Boasting over 650,000 members since it launched in April 2007, yougofurther was the UCAS social network website. Key to this role was to build strong commercial partnerships with major brands including Lonely Planet, Glastonbury Festival, Apple and iTunes, The Independent, Clothes Show Live, Rugby Football Union (RFU), Arsenal Football Club and British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS).

Part of this role was to work on a daily basis on social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, uploading news spreads, and managing competitions, promotions and over 35'000 forums.

I documented over 500 webchats on yougo, ranging from webchats with fellow colleagues, to webchats with professionals; the England Student Rugby Captain, the Guardian and Arsenal Football Club, whilst also actively creating, editing and posting all content onto the yougo site - articles, interviews, webchats, competitions and news spreads.

A key success was the 2010 Christmas campaign called “yulego”. In 2009 this had 15’000 entries in 2009. Managing this in 2010, I achieved 65’000 entries.

This role included producing and developing video and developing innovative ideas for our online channels. I project managed a new initiative entitled UCAS Connect, creating a "one stop shop" for all of our social media channels, along with a cross-platform mobile app. The site achieved over 50,000 unique visitors and 117,000 page views for its first month. The mobile app achieved over 1'500 downloads with an NPS of 29%.

I helped project manage the re-design UCAStv for the 2012 application cycle, working on the overall design of the site and the creative's for the videos. This role also supported the development of the UCAS Digital Strategy, as well as project managing the development and implementation of UCAS Facebook applications.

In November 2011 the team won the Most Effective Use of Social Media award at the globally recognised Customer Contact Association (CCA) Excellence Awards.

Online Community Manager

Working as part of a team and as an individual I provided an authoritative, effective and customer-focused enquiry based service within a high pressure environment.

Within the role, I was competent in liaising by telephone, letter, fax and e-mail as well as in person with customers and other principal contacts within existing departments of UCAS.

I volunteered for new work types, eventually becoming involved in the implementation of new business. Training new staff for the Customer Service Department was key to this role along with the processing, editing and organising of applicant's records on a day to day basis whilst abiding to strict security measures.

Customer Service Adviser

Key to these roles was maximising sales at every opportunity. It was vital to maintain sales drive individually and within the team as a whole to generate profit for the business.

I developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills from working closely with the general public. Successful maintenance and running of the shop and back office on an everyday basis including cleanliness, displays, stock levels etc were all very important. On a regular basis, I would liaise with the Company Director to devise new sales methods, techniques and strategies in order to increase business income.

Other responsibilities included cashing up/banking, ordering stock, meeting targets and successfully delegating responsibility to others. I was able to demonstrate excellent selling techniques, become responsible for my actions and enhanced my reliability and organisational skills.

A highly capable, digital / technical professional with the ability to lead an organisation in the delivery, management and implementation of projects and products. Over 10 years’ experience of successfully delivering online and offline initiatives, applying strategic planning and a ‘customer first’ mind-set to grow revenue and improve market share.
