Gill is an electric vehicle (EV) market and communications specialist. Gill has an extensive EV and energy industry and community network spanning decades. She has 25 years’ business development and grant funding portfolio experience across sustainable energy, utility, and environmental technologies sectors, including eight years working on electric vehicle-grid integration projects in a consultancy capacity. Since 2012, she has focused her energy on adding value to clients across emobility, energy networks, insurance, leasing, policy and communications. In April 2021 Gill was celebrated as one of the Top Women in EV for Campaigns and Policy, and was voted as one of the Top 50 Women in Engineering: Sustainability in 2020. In June 2022, Gill was selected as one of Insider’s EV Industry Power Players – one of 30 leaders driving the global electric vehicle revolution. Gill was winner of the Women in Insurance Trailblazer Award 2022 for her work in EV at Allianz. Proud to enter the GreenFleet 100 Most Influential list in 2023, and make a return in 2024! Media trained, Gill enjoys fairly regular appearances on radio (BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, You and Yours, LBC Radio, Radio 5 Live), with a little television thrown in for good measure (Countryfile). All in the spirit of advocating for EV uptake. Gill has written for a variety of media channels, with guest blogs featured on Fully Charged Show, Green Car Guide, and Company Car Today amongst others. She has been quoted in The Times, The Sunday Times, Telegraph, Good Housekeeping, Autocar, and across EV and trade publications. Q3 2020 saw Gill cited as Twitter’s number three top global EV influencer. In February 2019, Gill founded EVclicks – a free online EV image library for use by schools, communities, projects and businesses in aid of the transition to zero emission transport. During lockdown in 2020, Gill co-founded Electric Vehicle Association (EVA) England community interest company, which offers a voice to electric car drivers in England. An advocate for electric vehicles since 2012, Gill is an EV driver and smart charger.
