I am a life sciences Innovator specialising in cancer detection, and my company is a recent start-up. We are collaborating with a world class team at a UK university to develop an early-stage multi-cancer blood test ( protein liquid biopsy). The aims for this blood test is to detect 200 cancers in a single test and having unmatched sensitivity and specificity. The ambition is that using this test to diagnose cancers a confirmatory tissue biopsy will no longer be required. In the past, i have been involved in tuberculosis drug discovery collaborations, that have created a method to increase the activity of an essential TB antibiotic to be able to significantly reduce therapy duration. I have a pipeline of ideas at proof of concept stage that relate to cancer immunotherapy and a novel tuberculosis treatment for individuals having extensive drug resistant TB.
