Engineer by familial contamination and creative by temperament, I have always struggled with these two different points of view. Both right, complex to coexist until design applied to business - Design Thinking. My constant search for novelty made me constantly restless, I had to discover new and different worlds. It was 2014. In those years the concept of startup was beginning to grow and the Milanese ecosystem was expanding, between a Pitch & Drink and some "nerd" events. Between a few googlings and a few meetings between visionaries, my first great passion for innovation was born (the famous "novelty" that returned systematically). So in 2014 I started working in a Crowdfunding platform, with the goal of managing this fantastic combination. It was just the beginning. Working closely with startups I got to know their world, their approaches, methods and tools. These visionaries were focused on designing the future, they could not waste time and money. To understand more I went to study with those visionaries who were writing the future of innovation, from Alex (Osterwalder - creator of Business Model Canvas) to Patrick (Van Der Pijl - one of the most important business innovation facilitators in the world). I wanted to study close to the bests, to understand them and to learn as many tricks as possible, from Northern Europe to Silicon Valley, deepening Lean Startup, Customer Development, Design Thinking, Growth Hacking and Digital Transformation. In 2015 I founded quo·d | Innovation Hub with three other innovation partners, with the goal of doing just that, that is to build the business of the future. In 2018 we embarked on the arduous adventure of editing the version of the most famous design book for business, "Design a Better Business" (Edizioni FrancoAngeli). Also since 2015 I have been teaching at the Design Universities (IED Milan) & Business Schools (European School of Economics) in business model design and startup acceleration, using internationally known methods and tools, and I work with incubators and accelerators of public and private startups. Now I am CEO of that company, quo·d, a brand that deals with creating and managing innovation processes, I am mentor for growing startups, I am trainer and lecturer in business design and crowdfunding for large companies, systematically combining engineering and creativity.
