Theme of my work
To find out the molecular mechanisms involved in PDZ adapter dependent regulation of ion transporters expressed on the apical membrane of intestinal epithelial cells in physiological as well as in inflammatory conditions.
Responsibilities also include: Tissue culture-lab maintainance, To teach basic molecular biology techniques (Theory and practicals) to Master students and my subsequent PhD students, writing publications, short reviews, abstracts to the conferences.

DBT project 1: Cloned and expressed HCV non structural proteins NS3-4a and its substrate using baculovirus expression system and characterised enzyme kinetics of NS3-4a protease activity. 
DBT project 2: Cloned and expressed HCV core proteins of genotype 3a and 1b using baculovirus expression system and characterised VLPs to find potential neutralising antibodies from HCV patient serum.
