My entire career has been in Sales and Sales leadership. Yet, when there is a cross functional project to be tackled, I am always invited because I am a translator. I speak sales however I also see many sides of a challenge and can influence stakeholders. For example, I have led CRM implementations, created a delivery team customer loyalty program, partnered with development and marketing on multiple product roll outs and launched a global team when internal opposition was strong. 

I make things happen. One of my Strength Finders traits is “Activator” and once a strategy is in place, I execute. I also value the power of a team. The most rewarding work is accomplishing something together… a quota, an implementation, a launch, a KPI or a problem solved. With little ramp up time, I am an independent worker with a high trust factor. 

Growing up when times were challenging, my Irish grandmother would open her black handbag with the strong clasp, pull out a treat and offer a “black cat”. It always made a situation better. My objective as a partner is to solve a problem impacting revenue and make a situation better.

As the head of U.S. Research & Learning Sales & Retention for Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting, I was responsible for setting and executing strategy. Our sales teams focused on bringing insights to the marketplace, helping clients and prospects look at their businesses and business challenges in entirely different ways. I managed and directed all territory, business development and sales operations across a 120 person national sales and retention team including outside, inside, retention, and corporate account teams. I also led a third party alliance retention partnership. All teams were focused on attacking market share, growing share of wallet and serving corporations and public accounting firms.
