I engage with corporate partners to up-skill their team to stay competitive and relevant that are needed for the future of work.

I am also the Module Chair for E-Commerce Operations, Consumer Behaviour and International Marketing for the part time diplomas and specialist diploma qualifications. I also teach International Marketing, Consumer Behaviour as well Entrepreneurship modules to adult learners.

Besides adult learners, I teach business subjects like Marketing and Consumer Behaviour modules to pre-employment students.

Sharing my knowledge with young working adults who are working and taking up classes related to business and the MICE industry under the Work Study Program. 

Had taught a few classes on  the management of  events and shared my experiences in relation to my work at Suntec Singapore.

Privileged to be part of the team to drive the sales of Land Defence Systems' solutions, developed in Singapore, to the rest of the world. 

I looked at  developing opportunities in Middle East and Africa ( MENA) as well as Europe.  I also focused on the Hybrid Electric Drive (HED) 4x4  product to look at its applications and opportunities world wide.

I helped clients plan and secure spaces at Suntec Singapore to have a successful event. I had a team 12 Corporate Sales Managers helping me to achieve that and together, we brought in an average of 1500 events yearly pre-covid days.  

I had a team of fun and young team which are dedicated to the challenges that I set periodically to them to gain new accounts and pushed to exceed the targets set for us.  A number of them had grown in their careers as I coached them while we grew the corporate bookings. There were many pleasant anecdotes on my interaction with the very competent team at Suntec. 

One of it was when the marketing team was crafting a promotional  campaign to drive up occupancy during the weeks of the Lunar New Year. I quickly pointed out to the Senior Director of Product Development and Marketing that customers were not looking to hold a meeting or conference that period. Running discounts was not going to change that.  Everyone wanted a nice banquet and have a good Lou Hei (tossing up of vegetables with raw fish).  Suntec did not have Chinese New Year promotions then as that had not been the focus. We then launched off the Lunar New Year packages which attracted a good following and the occupancy rates went up yearly from then during the Lunar New Year with many happy gatherings with our unique lou hei platters and delicious menus. 

Another I can think of was a conversation with a new joiner. I recalled helping her to identify what exactly our product was. While she gave good answers, I pointed out that we were selling time and space. The product is "perishable" and that positioning drove many of our decisions and price points. That gave her a  paradigm shift which helped her to appreciate the business we were in. 

Covid19  was a challenging period and we were not spared from the lockdowns and cancellation of functions. I witnessed the pivot to hybrid events and got to work directly with the CEO to anchor key clients for long term block bookings.

Proud to be part of SICC's long history, having spent almost 7 years at the Chamber, acquiring corporate members to join its cause of standing up for Singapore and Singapore businesses. 

I successfully recruited MNCs from various industries and some of the key organisations includes, National University of Singapore, James Cook University, PSB Academy, Lenovo, Microsoft, Sennheiser, Conrad Hotel and many others.

I took on other initiatives as well so as to present SICC as the platform to advocate their issues as an  respectable industry voice. 

One of it was the successful launch of the Legal Services Committee where more then 40 foreign legal firms joined the Chamber and had numerous meet ups.  This was at the time where Singapore aimed to be an arbitration hub and  many foreign legal firms set up in Singapore.

Another effort was engaging and increasing the membership in the education sector, especially from the private education firms.

I also had the pleasure to serve as the secretariat for the Construction and Real Estate Committee. The committee meets quarterly and updates about the economy as well as activities relevant to them. I managed to invite guests speakers from JTC and BCA which gave the members updates on their plans as well as the Green Mark efforts at that point in time.

I led a team of 5 consultants and together we enrol students into the various education pathways where students can take their studies via distance or plan for transfer to the American University of their choice.

In my previous role as an Assistant Director, Corporate Sales at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, I was responsible for leading a team of 12 managers. 


As an Adjunct Lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic, School of Business, I teach "Managing Conferences, Meetings and Incentives" to working adults under the Continuing Education and Training (CET) program. I have also conducted training sessions on Hybrid Meetings and Events.
