The global goal of SME Instrument is helping  the beneficiaries progress over the life cycle of their innovation, from idea to proof of concept, to first pilot application and finally upscaling and expansion. Reviewing public grants applications for the Innovation Fund Denmark (IFD), using technical and market expertise to provide objective assessments consisting of scores and justifications, always within Eurostars' principles.

Also, assessing and evaluating other kinds of public funding programs applications at the national and European level, determining the appropriateness of the project’s budget relative to its activities and ambition.

International Expert

EIT - European Institute of Innovation and Technology

Expert supporting the assessment of grant proposals for Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) Business plans 2023-2025 and for the Higher Education Institutions (HEI) initiative 2023-2025.

My work involved the analysis, expert feedback, evaluation in a written report, and scoring of submitted proposals according to the European Commission criteria, in coordination with a team of experts supported by EIT officers.

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) is a body of the European Union with the mission to strengthen the knowledge triangle (research, education, innovation) via the implementation of the Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs). These are partnerships that bring together businesses, research centres and universities to harness European innovation and entrepreneurship to find solutions to major societal challenges in areas with high innovation potential – and create quality jobs and growth.

Becoming a solopreneur doesn’t happen overnight.

Shifting careers is never easy, especially when you leap from one field to another.

My journey from a History Doctor to a Business Coach has been challenging, yet incredibly rewarding.

Here’s how I did it in three pivotal phases:

I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey by pursuing an MBA and other business courses. Thanks to mentors like Andrés Pérez Ortega - Estrategia Personal, Francisco Pizarro Escribano, and my experience with organizations such as Fundación para el Conocimiento madri+d, I gained invaluable insights into business dynamics. Ah, and yes: I founded my first company back in the time (Histania Consultores Culturales) but this is a story for another post.
