Freelance philosophical consultant, ex head of a University department, now getting out of the cave to where the love of wisdom is needed. My key skill is helping you understand the challenges better. I see things from a different angle to many other people. I like working with a collaborative team of experts to solve challenging problems, using a mixture of qualitative and quantitative methods. Issues around change, strategy and innovation are a specialty. As a philosopher what I do is roughly: try to make sense of complex and confusing things try to help other people make sense of complex and confusing things try to make other people interested enough in complex and confusing things to want to make sense of them. I do this by reading complex and confusing documents, by writing clearly and straightforwardly as possible, by talking interestingly, and by patient attentive dialogue with other people. Integrity is important to me, and as a line-manager it matters that I treat my team decently. We all need to be able to look at ourselves in the mirror afterwards.
