Prepare all the external stakeholder investor reports, and liaise with investors and funders by attending to any further analysis or queries 
fielded. 
Accounting for a special purpose entity securitisation vehicle with listed 
funding notes, including covenant calculations and sensitivities. 
Preparing the month end journals and accompanying financial reconciliations relating to the portfolio sub-ledger and impairment models. 
Responsible for the valuation of available for sale financial assets using 
cash flow discount models. 
Preparation of credit default curves and reports submitted to ratings agencies and the National Credit Regulator. 
Consolidation of the group accounts under IFRS 
Identifying opportunities and implementing procedures to enhance the 
month-end reporting process.

Audit Manager responsible for key tasks in planning and performing external audit engagements. This involved:

Developing testing methodologies and execution under tight deadlines in order to develop recommendations and reports to present to senior management. 
Formulating professional development and educational plans for junior 
staff members including planning and allocating resources and individuals in accordance with skills and schedules 
Knowledge and experience in managing a group audit team including the consolidation of a multinational group. 
Responsible for the oversight and management of audit teams which 
varied in size from 3-25 team members of varying levels of experience. 
Key clients in the mining and construction sector gaining exposure to commodity trading and processes, mining development, and contract mining. Other experience included exposure to the outsourcing, travel, and sports and leisure sectors. 
Responsibilities further included maintaining and forging strong client relationships with key members of management, as well as the project 
management and billing of audit fees through SAP.

Audit Manager

A 7-month international secondment to the Deloitte Calgary office in the Assurance and Advisory service line. 
Specific duties and roles included the performing detailed audit procedures to gain assurance over financial statements. 
Supervision and coaching of junior members of the audit team as well as coordinating and managing audit engagements. 
Experience in the audit of listed entities in both real estate and oil & gas sector.

Senior - Audit & Advisory

Formal training contract to qualify as a CA(SA). This consisted of performing tasks under tight deadlines to meet audit report requirements, as well as guiding junior audit team members. 
Diverse client portfolio enabling experience and knowledge of clients in a 
number of service lines including manufacturing and mining both listed and unlisted. This included the head office consolidation and group reporting of a dual listed entity. 

Secondment to the internal audit department of Standard Bank South 
Africa for 4 months. 

Secondment to Deloitte Corporate Finance Advisory division which allowed exposure into financial modelling as well as business report 
preparation for proposed transactions.

I was assigned to the Corporate and Investment Banking sector was responsible for planning an audit of the Trade Services business. I gain knowledge and experience of products such as guarantees and letters of credit from a trade perspective as well an how these products are traded and controlled within the bank.
