For the longest time I had no idea what I wanted to do. I was thinking of becoming a CPA, then doing Economics, then maybe a politician, and then I found Marketing. I had always been interested in Marketing and what it was but wasn't sure how it worked in the real world. I thought it was sales and that scared me away, but then I took a deeper dive. I started to take some classes and had two internships in Digital Marketing and I knew right away that it was the choice for me. I have a big passion for paid media, ads/advertising, and the analytics behind it all. I love taking a deep dive into the data to see the trends and insights of how everything is running. Making campaigns through paid media is my life and I love being able to connect with people through those campaigns. I have had two internships in social media while I was finishing college, one with an agency, Volair Interactive, and one with a minor league baseball team, the Orem Owlz. I also had a job during college as a Student Ambassador/Pre-Arrival Mentor helping new students get ready to come to school. After I graduated, I had a short part time job in SEO Link Building with BASE Search Marketing and then moved on to work at an advertising agency, called the Ostler Group, working with local franchisees of Jiffy Lube, doing work for their accounts. I then worked for B2Linked, a LinkedIn Ads agency, as a Paid Media Account Manager. I worked with clients to get the most out of their paid ads on LinkedIn. Next, I worked for 97th Floor, an award winning digital marketing agency, as an Enterprise Advertising Specialist, managing clients campaigns, creative, ad copy, and implementing strategy for their Facebook/Instagram, Google Search and Display, LinkedIn, and other media paid ads. I currently work for Plein Air, a leading restaurant industry focused agency, as a Digital Media Manager focusing on clients strategies and driving results through optimizations and analysis. When I’m not thinking about digital marketing, I often think about sports. I love sports. I have loved them since I was a little kid, when I would run outside at 6 AM and grab the newspaper and then run upstairs and show my dad the standings, scores, and stats from the previous day. When I’m not watching or playing sports, I love to be with my family, friends, and lovely wife and son. I also love traveling and seeing the world. I hope to one day explore the Marketing and Sports world and do a Sports MBA to increase my understanding of business and sports, how they work together, and how I can grow the skills that I have.
