My decade+ of experience working in schools as a teacher and program leader have been marked by immense challenges, and the grit to overcome them. 

From teaching classes of 50+ students in small rural classrooms, to building entire program curriculums across 6 grade levels with nothing but sweat and a laptop, I've been put through the wringer every single year of my career—and delivered against the odds. Unfortunately, my experience of consistently being overworked, under-resourced, and pushed to the edge of burnout is all too common for those working in education. 

Schools the world over, regardless of funding or location, rely on their staff to make up the difference as they run on inefficient systems, poor planning, disorganized processes, and misallocated resources.

So I've decided not to put up with the status quo. I care too much about students and teachers, about human formation, to stand by and watch when I can do something about it. 

I get it:

the project is too big
the odds of success infinitesimal
the variables involved impossible to number 
the challenges involved complex and immense

But I'm too far gone. You can help or you can watch, but I'm all in on making this a world where teachers and students thrive. 

And while only time will tell if I can eat the whole problem, you'd better believe I'm determined to take one hell of a bite.

Grant Wootten

I am a seasoned educator, ed-tech entrepreneur, and program leader with over a decade of experience in the classroom. Currently, I am the head of the English Intervention program at an international school in Nonthaburi, Thailand, where I function as a teacher support, trainer, and curriculum coordinator across 11 grade levels, concentrating on rapidly elevating the English language proficiency of lower-level ELLs for both academic and social success.

My journey began in the US, but for the last 11+ years I have called Thailand my home. From 2015-2021, I founded and led a team of English language teachers in Sukhothai, serving rural public schools and making a meaningful impact in the community as part of a faith-based non-profit effort.

I hold a BA in Intercultural Studies, an MA in TESOL, and I am a licensed teacher in both the US and Thailand. My academic background and life experience have provided me a strong foundation in understanding the nuances of language acquisition and cultural intelligence, equipping me to excel in international and cross-cultural settings.

Beyond the classroom, I am the Founder of Edusfere, where we aim to revolutionize education by addressing the chronic and universal challenges of overworked and under-resourced educators worldwide.

As I work tirelessly to elevate the English program at my current institution to an exemplar of excellence and to actualize the transformative potential of Edusfere, I recognize that no one accomplishes anything alone.
