Taught 9th and 10th grade history. Developed and implemented a research curriculum for freshman history

Student Council advisor for a 21 member group. SCA was responsible for student clubs and activities as well as large-scale events. SCA was active in all aspects of student life including writing policy proposals to the Head of School regarding schedule, dress code, and in the hiring of a new upper-school head in 2012.Promoted over $10k in events each year from budget and fundraising.
As advisor, I supported SCA in school wide elections and oversaw bi-weekly meetings.
Implemented the SCA retreat each fall to build cohesiveness among the students serving on the SCA.

Head JV football coach with 4 assistants. Managed equipment and the training of coaching staff.
Ran international trips for upper-school students.

Taught AP European history, US history, World history and electives (Revolutions, Comp. Western Politics, Modern Middle East).

Assisted with the Junior Research Paper by revising the standards for the assignment and facilitating collaboration and communication between the English and history departments.
Brought in outside speakers for the history department.

Coached football, basketball, and lacrosse.

Served on NEASC accreditation committee and was responsible for writing sections of the report for the visiting team.

Weekend Master responsible for a weekend team of 10 faculty.

Western Connecticut State University

Taught American Perspectives at the undergraduate level to a diverse group of students both traditional and nontraditional. 

This is a required course for all students that is based on instructor developed curriculum. The theme for my course was "Defining American Liberty" in order to examine the overarching ethos and struggles faced in becoming a democratic nation for the diverse population of the country between 1776 and the Civil Rights Movement.

Responsible for creating syllabi and choosing texts as well as adhering to department standards with regard to content.

Rumsey Hall School

7th-9th grade history, dorm parent, advisor. Summer school Language Skills. Coached football, basketball, and cycling.

Dorm Head in an 8th grade boy's dorm.

Re-wrote the history department curriculum and instituted a writing program for the department.

Led trips to Europe for 8th and 9th grade students.
