Bulletproof is an international packaging design and branding agency where I operated as part of a team of 7 on the artwork department. Working alongside a busy design team, I was responsible for implementing the pre-press process for a large spectrum of international clients for packaging, advertising and POS. Responsibilities included onsite colour proofing, preparation for mockups and print trials and well as final sign off prior to full print runs whilst considering the limitations for print processes whether it were Flexo, Gravure, Offset Litho, Dry Offset or Digitally printed. I also liaised with the US office in times where I would be required to work on a US based client.

Clients included: Coca-Cola, Heineken, Mondelez, Kraft, Arla, SC Johnson, Yoplait & Pizza Express.

Freelance Artworker

ECHO Brand Design

My first full time role within a design agency environment offering a varied range of responsibility.

Primary Tasks:
- Creating FMCG artworks to a repro ready standard.
- Managing in-house colour proofing using various colour profiles on a variety of substrates.
- High end retouching of images.
- Managing all internal IT issues.

I worked on a diverse range of clients from global brands to small startups. Crucially I was able to fully utilise Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Indesign. I undertook high end retouching which would involve (but not be limited to) the removal of process channels, the addition of spot channels, the application of a minimum dot and the amendments of image quality. I managed the use of the company's in-house large format printers for GMG colour proofing on various substrates for different print processes. During periods of artwork down-time, I also assisted the marketing department with case study creation and business credentials. In addition, I managed all internal IT issues, the majority of which I would resolve myself.

I utilised all skills previously acquired to operate in freelance capacity offering a wide range of project types. This helped to enhance my versatility and adapt quickly. In addition to artworking, I also spent some time working from a more creative angle as a designer as well as project management.

In parallel to my freelancing during the period I was seeking a permanent role, I also decided to set up my own creative service to help attract my own clients directly. Many services were available, all of which I gained the knowledge to offer throughout my career.
Shortly after it's creation, the business branched out into the production of vinyl cut graphics and following the appointment of a business partner, an online shop was created which has had great success to this day.

A new challenge in a smaller studio which gave me greater work management opportunities.

- Preparing cutter guides and design files for artwork. 
- Artwork builds and amendments adhering to brand guidelines.
- Creating artworks to a repro ready standard.

Here, I got an opportunity to manage accounts and product ranges from an artwork perspective and as before, I found myself applying multi language text to artworks. I maintained brand guidelines and helped to improve artwork processes. I also had an active contribution to business development and quality improvement to help improve production efficiency.
