ScanCrush

Co-founded ScanCrush, a Software as a Service inventory sourcing platform for e-commerce sellers. Leveraged open source products and frameworks on commoditized hardware which allowed us to achieve a positive cash flow within two months of launch. Strategic exit of the business in March 2017.

•	Responsible for all marketing activities, leveraging social media for inexpensive or free referrals to ScanCrush.
•	Performed all HR related functions for our software engineering team.
•	Executed all Finance and Accounting functions, leveraging other teams where appropriate.
•	Responsible for the network security implementation, ensuring our customers information was safe at all times.
•	Created an automation framework that allows us to provision new hardware in a matter of minutes.
Developed two substantial PHP classes and numerous functions critical to the operation of the system.

McAfee

Responsible for Global IT End User Services, a team of 120 employees and contractors located in 31 offices worldwide accountable for Global Service Desk and Field Operations, Enterprise Client Services, Operations Service Management and IT components of facilities construction projects.  Ownership over the $11M IT OpEx budget for this organization.
•	Led two IT tracks for the integration of McAfee into Intel, Client Services and Service Desk. The result was an on-time, on-budget program delivering 8,000 laptops converted to the Intel image in five months and the outsourcing of my entire organization.
•	Envisioned and sponsored the PC Centralization project which pulled all CapEx PC purchases from the business cost centers to a central IT cost center.  This resulted in longer asset lifecycles, a 5 year, $1M reduction in annual PC CapEx spend, and shortening the SLA to five days from order to receipt.
•	Outsourced PC builds to a value-added reseller allowing Field Operations resources to focus on higher value tasks and reducing the overall cost of this service by 50% in many regions.
•	Established a comprehensive service scorecard to illustrate the performance of End User Services and consistently communicated progress on our service scorecard to our leadership as well as individual contributors to ensure buy-in.
•	Reorganized and optimized the Global End User Services team shifting lower utilized Field Operations resources to the Enterprise Client Services team which doubled the bandwidth of that team without impact to Field Operations service levels and had no overall budget impact.
•	Restarted the Windows XP to Windows 7 upgrade project resulting in the completion of all the upgrades in a 15-month period well in advance of the Windows XP retirement with no additional funding or staff.

Director of Global End User Services

Land O'Lakes

Responsible for the operational aspects of business relationship management ensuring IT alignment with business strategy.  Ownership over the $26M IT operational expense budget for two $4B businesses: Purina Feed and WinField Solutions.  Hired as a change agent to help evolve the IT organization.
•	Established a detailed plan for aligning with a new mobile device policy that allowed the business areas to realize a 40% cost reduction.  Sponsored and sought buy-in from the business and IT leadership on a telecom expense management outsourcing initiative that will increase the level of service while driving an estimated 20% additional cost savings.
•	Assigned as the IT leader responsible for coordinating the development of the 2012 IT budget.  Identified many opportunities to improve visibility of spend in 2012 as well as planned improvements for the 2013 budget season.
•	Established vendor management principles for all externally developed and hosted technology solutions ensuring protection for Land O’Lakes as well as operational excellence from the vendor.
Responsible for establishing a three-year plan to increase our IT operational maturity regarding many of the ITIL processes.

IT Application, Operations & Relationship Manager

Target Corporation

Over the course of nearly four years, managed three different teams responsible for Target Stores systems, Merchandising systems and Target.com systems.  The teams were comprised of seven to eleven technical and process focused employees as well as 27 to 45 contractors located in three locations globally.  Teams were responsible for supporting all applications and systems.
* Requested to lead the Target.com team to prepare them for the project to insource the Amazon.com functionality back within the IT organization (code named: Everest).
* Worked closely with the Target.com finance director to understand opportunities with our finance system, taking them back to our IT Shared Services partners to develop a project to make those enhancements a reality.
* Developed a project to optimize the automated entertainment data feed responsible for publishing newly released titles in those categories immediately to Target.com.  This optimization project added 150,000 items to our catalog taking the publish success rate from 50% to 90+%.
* Envisioned, developed and achieved broad IT and business leadership buy-in for a project to enhance the stability of a critical system within Target.com.
* Achieved an extremely positive Leadership Index of 93%.  Have partnered closely with my team to ensure there are clear lines of feedback to me so I’m able to adjust my style to meet the individual needs of the team members.
* Led the development of the business support operation including a temporary ownership of the business support operations team.  While under my leadership, the team improved their operational performance.
* Leveraged Six Sigma to analyze problematic software in the Stores environment resulting in an 80% reduction in incidents per month (from 10,000 to 2,000).

Manager - Enterprise Application Management

The Northern Trust Co.

Managed two teams consisting of two managers and 13 technical resources charged with maintaining the Citrix and desktop management infrastructure for 9,000 employees worldwide.  Responsible for budget estimates and reporting for all projects, resources and training within Workstation Technologies.  Provide executive level project status for key projects.  Insure all maintenance and support duties are being performed within their service level agreements.
* Maintained thought leadership in the desktop environment by creating the vision of a virtualized desktop and application provisioning infrastructure utilizing VMware VDI, Citrix Presentation Server, and Microsoft Softgrid.
* Handpicked to perform desktop architecture and project management for global outsourcing project.
* Negotiated licensing agreement with a software vendor reducing the cost of this product by more than 50%.
* Leveraged political capital to gain acceptance in project planning and implementation of two major projects.
* One of five people (out of 800) handpicked to perform technology integration, architecture and project management on Northern Trust's £260M acquisition of Baring Asset Management's Financial Services Group.
* Chief Architect for all projects within the Desktop Infrastructure Division.
* De facto advisor to senior management during all security vulnerability investigations or virus incidents.

Since then, I've launched a number of SaaS startups while growing Four13 Group into an e-commerce software development agency of ~50 team members around the world.
