Smarsh

I lead growth, alignment and change throughout Smarsh. Directs the project management, business applications and training functions, leading strategy across both groups while also serving as a hands-on project leader on key strategic initiatives, including M&A integration. 

- De facto leader for all strategic projects and programs across a 1,400-person SaaS company
- Leader of M&A integration activities for all acquired organizations globally. Facilitated the integration of six acquired organizations totaling $340M+ in revenue over four years, delivering success in achieving each M&A investment thesis while collaborating entirely remotely due to the global pandemic.
- Director of internal Project Management Organization (PMO) serving cross-functional teams.
- Owner and strategist for global talent development, delivering employee onboarding, development and mentorship programs worldwide. Facilitator of multiple courses including change management. 
- Guide for internal Business Applications team, delivering operations at-scale through Atlassian and tools used by all Smarsh employees. Created the Smarsh Help Center internal service desk and knowledge base.

Sr. Director, Project Management (PMO), Training & Business Applications

- Full-lifecycle management of key cross-functional initiatives within Smarsh. Projects focused on internal efficiencies and improving product and service experiences for customers are top priority. 
- Creator of Strategic Project Management Org, a first for Smarsh.  Directs team of 7+ Project Managers, Engineers and Coordinators in solving complex, cross-functional challenges; leading strategic projects.
- Key leader of M&A integration activities: facilitates workshops, functional integration and strategic decision-making towards the integration of Smarsh and Actiance, totaling $100M+ in revenue. 
- Partners with HR leaders in attracting and retaining top talent. Contributes actively to external hiring beyond direct team as a culture-fit advocate. Mentors existing employees in their growth within Smarsh.

Director, Project Management Organization

- Leading change programs across many different product and people-focused lifecycles spanning Customer Support, Professional Services, Site Reliability Engineering and Technical Operations. 
- Serves as connective tissue between infrastructure, development, site reliability and customer-facing teams. As a ScrumMaster, implemented Agile methods across all teams including standups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives. Enabled reporting in Jira, and improved team velocity.
- Designs, builds and maintains teams, processes, systems and automated dashboards positioned to increase transparency, reduce ambiguity and greatly improve customer satisfaction during historical data import initiatives. Creates a culture of collaboration and high reliability across customer engagement teams.

Program Manager

- Owner of strategic, customer-facing initiative to migrate all client email hosting services from four historical systems to Exchange 2016, powered by Intermedia. Smarsh is a reseller of Intermedia services. 
- Responsible for all migration and partner-vendor experiences both for customers and employees. 
Successfully migrated 4,300+ accounts with a combined 45,000+ email addresses while ensuring data continuity, compliant journaling/archiving configurations and full administrator enablement.
- Designed, implemented and executed change management-focused communication plans, sent 650,000+ Email notifications tailored by audience, timing and security role with 99%+ accuracy.  Authored internal and customer-facing documentation, videos and instructional guides, including 55 dynamic instructional web pages in addition to a 150-page comprehensive User Guide, and 10+ Customer-specific website and communications programs. Delivered migration project on-time, and in-budget.

Works to develop, implement and manage all Corporate IT Procurement and Purchasing related activities.  Plans, organizes, and directs activities related to the procurement function as the corporate representative for the IT Procurement requests, issues and procedures.

Develops, distributes, implements and maintains all Purchasing Procedures and Guides for requisitioning and procurement activities for IT. Documents and works to control actual spend through regular reporting and information sharing with executive teams. Builds, manages and controls a supplier network that is capable of providing high-quality products and services at a cost effective price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.

Specific Savings Accomplishments: 
2015 - Generated over an estimated $1,000,000 in avoided cost from work in the following areas: 
- Streamlined web collaboration tools
- Reduced end-user hardware costs, creating $200,000 in savings on this type of hardware alone
- Standardized printing vendors, contract types and price points
- Optimized mobile device usage with policy development and implementation

2016 (January - September) - Generated over an estimated $650,000 in avoided cost while paving the way towards $1,000,000+ in avoided cost for the full year.

Manages flow of goods and supplies for optimum support, analyzing and adapting internal policies. Creates guidelines around hardware distribution and acceptable variances for each hardware distribution location. Negotiates contracts, policies and deadlines with suppliers and vendors. Monitors prices by product and vendor to predict and account for financial fluctuations. Ensures compliance with the new processes through company-wide communication and training of employees on changes to purchasing processes. Includes development of training material, lesson plans, and facilitating procurement training.

Sr. Technology Procurement & Project Specialist

Works to ensure customer satisfaction through timely and complete responses to requests via phone, emails or in-person requests from 300 remote and in-office users. Documents incident management requests and resolutions. Analyzes root causes and incident data to demonstrate trends and provide escalation recommendations to problem managers. Troubleshoot and configure Dell and Apple laptops, desktops, iOS and Android devices. Windows, Mac and MS Office application support. In 1 year of work, completed service on 58% of all service cases including all new hires (~80 people), all terminations and a variety of system-specific cases as the subject-matter-expert. This equates to ~1500 cases resolved during Jan-Sept 2014.

Administers 100+ line wireless contract with a national vendor. Manages plan, pricing, purchasing additional devices and services along with minimizing overages. 

Team documentation lead. Works to create meaningful and easy-to-understand documentation of popular issues and resolutions to service requests. This includes creating iOS application walk through videos along with Windows-based application tutorials.

Works with IT Managers to execute purchasing for enterprise across all departments. Manages ordering, coding and billing for 1.2 million dollar annual budget in addition to Capital Projects. Shows constant success in cost-savings over previous year though smart shopping and vendor partnerships.
