I am a Senior advisor at the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC), where we design and deliver performance interventions across the UN system. We advise, train and coach UN Leadership and staff. With over 25 years of experience in international affairs and change management, I have a passion for unlocking transformation journeys, reshaping organizational cultures, and developing talent and leadership potential. Prior to joining UNSSC, I led the International Public Sector practice at Mercuri Urval, a global HR consultancy firm specialized in Executive Search, Talent management and Leadership Advisory Services. I worked with clients such as the United Nations, NATO and the European Commission, providing solutions aiming at (i) aligning HR strategy with organizational strategy, (ii) getting results through talent management, and (iii) fostering diversity and inclusion. My first career was in humanitarian affairs, mostly with the UN World Food Programme (JPO to Deputy Representative), from Sarajevo to Yangon, essentially involved in the management and leadership of complex operations in emergency settings. With the United Nations, I have done multiple emergency response and surge deployments: • Pakistan/Afghanistan - 2001, following 9/11. • Indian Ocean Tsunami response in 2005. • War in Lebanon, Summer 2006. • Sri Lanka conflict. 2008. (Cross lines convoys’ negotiation and organization). • Somalia investigations. Mogadishu, 2009. • Conflict in Kachin and cross line convoys organization, Myanmar, 2011. • Ethnic cleansing in Rakhine, Myanmar, 2012. • Haiti and Nepal Earthquakes, 2010 and 2015. • Civil war in Central African Republic, 2014. • ISIS war in Iraq, 2015 • Cyclone Winston. Fidji. 2016. I am also an ICF-certified professional coach, providing staff and leadership coaching, as well as facilitating team retreats, workshops and Lessons Learned exercises. As a side project, from 2016 to 2021, I founded and ran a woodworking business in Sweden. "Le Designer Clandestin" was set up to design&craft bespoke and intricate wood boxes and furniture aiming at the US, Middle East and Asia Markets. The studio has been featured in: Le Monde.fr, Le Nouvel Economiste, The Peak (Singapore), Palaces, Dandy, L'Officiel, Apollo Magazine and The Nob Hill Gazette (US).
