Having worked as a computer science engineer, and later as a lawyer and patent agent (India), his practice profile covers drafting, prosecuting patent and trademark applications, providing patentability opinions, validity searches, infringement analysis, building claim charts, IP landscaping, and IP portfolio management. Gurbir has prosecuted over 250 office actions and drafted patent applications for a variety of technology areas including aerospace, fintech, blockchain, e-commerce, cyber security, digital forensics, mechanical, and NFTs for US, Canadian, Indian, PCT, and European patent offices leading to successful patent grants. He has advised clients in open source software licensing, IP transfers, and IP strategy using advanced market analytics.
