I founded my first, Rays Ice Cream in 2011. I spent the next 11 years growing it from one shop where we made all of our own ice cream in the back, to a business with 3 shops and a purpose-built kitchen. We continued to make our own premium ice cream and supplied it to our own shops, by home delivery in and around Swindon and wholesale around Wiltshire and beyond. I sold Rays Ice Cream in July 2022. In 2012 my husband and I took on the lease to a run down café next door to our ice cream shop. We fully refurbished it, recruited a new team, devised a new menu and ran it for 2 years before selling it on. We founded a spray coatings business in 2015 and built that up before selling it on 2 years later. In 2016 I started my own business mentoring business, My Business Buddy, specialising in offering support to business owners in the hospitality and artisan food industries.
