BUT here's what amateur storytellers do:

They start with the weather.
They start with their morning routine.

By the time they reach the good part?
Everyone's gone.

Professional writers know better.

Start with the explosion.
Explain the bomb later.

Now you want the backstory.
Now you're invested.

Your stories aren't boring.
