After a quarter-century of working remotely, my purpose is to steer the world of work to a remote work world. Remote work is a new economic paradigm and global shift that will change the world of work, and liberate business activity from limitations of geography. It is not about doing the same things you always done at work, but from somewhere other than the office. 25 years ago I stumbled on a remote job that would shape my life and career, and I've never looked back. Remote work and its future now makes up the history and focus of my professional experience. The pandemic introduced the world to the potential of remote work and the radical positive change it brings to our lives. Today the way forward is to build better remote collaboration tools and change the nature of what qualifies as performance and enable professionals to earn income while also enjoying the most precious moments of their lives while those moments are happening. I've been with my kids every day from the day they were born. I've taken my work with me everywhere while changing base camp once every decade or so. No salary or benefits would put tie me to an office, I value my time and freedom too much. There's no competition.
