I founded Commplicated, the first strategic communications firm built specifically for early stage deeptechs, to help startups and VCs articulate their vision more clearly and in ways that actually move the needle. I started my career at the Texas Emerging Technology Fund, a $485 million fund specialising in biotechnology, clean energy, and deeptech, managing the due diligence and follow-on funding from Seed to Series B as well as communications. After that, I moved to London and became head of global communications at MassChallenge, the largest accelerator network in the world. Most recently I was the head of partnerships and communications at BIOS Health, and created a category in neurotech and AI, led our rebrand, and helped grow the company from single digits to 40+ employees and a Series A+ techbio. I love working with startups, but I have also had bluechip companies including Microsoft, HSBC, and Nestlé as clients. I am also a first check in angel investor in deeptech and healthtech startups and scout for VCs. (Crytpo/Web3 and B2B SaaS do not count as deeptech so please don't pitch me.) I mentor and advise companies at organisations such as Founders @ Cambridge, Deeptech Labs, the Royal Academy of Engineering, and Zinc VC.
