Posts are mostly about B2B marketing & sales!

Industrial seller's awareness of inbound marketing is low. Is it? People sometimes ask me why they still insist on expos or site visits while industrial buyers search online.

Their website has several pages mostly including just only PDF catalog link which is mostly not opening, meaningless pop-ups, no blog strategies, a boss welcome message, and weird vision statements about how their company will be the best of the best of the best around the globe, bla bla bla...

Expos seem the number one priority to contact people or visit their customers or leads whether they are ideal customer profiles or not. Still, most of them don't use CRM, and contacts on their phones are important. They have one "marketing and sales manager" who doesn't know the difference between marketing and sales most of the time. They have 200-500 connections on Linkedin. They are arguing with their customers about technical stuff like a knowledge contest.

So what about millennials? What are their excuses? Their teachers are too outbound focused but they have no excuses and they are aware of this. They are just not allowed to make too many mistakes and they start to become a decision-makers in the last 3-5 years.

At the end of the day, they see that someone outside, I mean their colleagues in other companies is searching, and trying to learn more about social selling, online channels, websites, B2B marketplaces, forums, podcasts, communities, etc. and it is the fact that they are quicker about reaching warm and hot leads. So They are more conscious and eager to learn more. They pay attention to how they are going spend their time and who spend with.

Everybody knows that cold outreach never ends. This is not the deal but they know that if they keep moving in the way of their teachers, they are gonna lose.
