With a foundation as a former special education teacher, I bring a deep understanding of diverse learning needs to my instructional design approach. I lead with the learner in mind, using research-backed learning theories and frameworks while also prioritizing empathy and inclusiveness. I have designed instructor-led training, slide decks, eLearning courses, screencast videos, and countless job aids. I look at the need, the audience, and the constraints to help inform the design. I look at the available data and gather other necessary data to get a clearer picture of what specific needs should be addressed as part of the learning. Once I've completed the needs analysis and updated the stakeholders involved in the project, I backwards plan and create a scope and sequence. I then design and develop the learning resources.
